Foray’s Winter Stay retreat is a creative home where artists can work on existing and explore new projects while living amongst a creative community of like and unlike minded people. Our space features artist studios and a peaceful, productive atmosphere. Artists of all mediums are welcome.

Foray has welcomed painters, screenwriters, musicians, dancers, digital artists, nomads, and many other wonderfully curious people to stay.

Rooms start at €80 per night but the longer the stay, the lower the cost. The fee includes access to all areas, accommodation, studios, use of the spacious and well-equipped communal kitchen, laundry, internet fibre, printer, breakfast and dinner (we suggest a voluntary contribution for the evening meal) apart from the Music Studio which must be accompanied by an engineer. Lunches are self-catered, unless a request is made for meals to be provided, which will result in an adjustment to the residence fees.

The accommodation consists of a large room with a double bed, wardrobe, desk and private bathroom with bath, washbasin and toilet. All our rooms are charming, comfortable and bright. They overlook either the garden or the Yonne valley.

Our retreats are currently unsubsidized, as this is our first year operating. We are currently developing a virtuous system that will enable us to offer fully subsidized residencies by 2026. However, we remain at the disposal of artists to provide advice and documentation with a view to obtaining a third-party grant or other type of funding for a residency.
